The Bourbon variety is dominant in Burundi and tends to make a gentler cup than it does elsewhere, bursting with complexity and clarity.
This year's offering from the Kibingo washing station has a bit less body than you might see from a Bourbon variety in Rwanda or Congo but so much clarity of flavor. I taste cherry juice, tangerine, raw sugar, and chamomile tea.
