This coffee comes to us by way of Shared Source and the ASOPEP cooperative in Planadas, Tolima. Jorge Rojas is a fairly young producer who is currently transitioning to organic production and extremely focused on quality.
This is a blend of the six separated lots that Jorge produced. One of those six individual lots was a honey processed lot, which has been mixed in.
In general, this coffee is a great example of the distinct profile of coffees from Tolima. They have incredible depth and sweetness. This lot has a really pleasant nuttiness and a juiciness that I can't really place. Maybe strawberry?
Harvested in mid-2019. 1,600-1,800 MASL. Mostly washed. Caturra and Colombia varieties.
