She is a member of a small organization, Jovemcafe, that was founded by indigenous Popti women in the Com community outside San Antonio Huista. The group was formed to improve market access for their coffees as well as provide savings and microcredit services to the group's members. \u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAna lives with her 9 brothers and sisters and 4 nieces and nephews in Com. She and her siblings carry out the initial processing of the coffee on their property -- using a gasoline-powered pulper. After pulping, they place the beans in a plastic vat with a small amount of water and leave it to ferment for 24 to 36 hours (depending on weather conditions). Once fermented, they wash the coffee thoroughly with water and spread the beans out to dry. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis lot is superb, with a clear and sweet, syrupy character. I get hints of macadamia and pomegranate. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHarvested Spring 2026. Caturra variety. 1,725 MASL. Washed.
